Strollmates Privacy Policy

Data We Collect

• Profile details you enter, such as display name, username, avatar image, bio, and trail colors.
• Walk data, including route points, coverage cells, distance, duration, steps, and saved walk history.
• Live location only when you enable live sharing or start a shared walk.
• Motion activity used for step counts during walks.
• Apple Health step count and walking/running distance only if you choose to connect Apple Health.
• Friend requests, friendship status, blocks, and safety reports you submit.
• Subscription and entitlement status needed to unlock Strollmates+ through Apple's in-app purchase system.

How We Use Data

We use data to draw your walking routes, reveal fog map progress, save your history, sync your account, show accepted friends' shared activity, process safety reports, and manage Strollmates+ access.

Third-Party Services

Strollmates uses Supabase for authentication, cloud backup, social data, and safety reports. Strollmates uses Superwall and Apple in-app purchase systems for paywalls, purchase processing, restoration, and subscription entitlement status. Apple frameworks provide Maps, location permission, motion permission, HealthKit, and App Store purchase management.

Sharing

Your live location and shared walks are visible only according to your privacy settings and accepted friend relationships. You can set live sharing to private, manual, or share while walking.

Your Choices

• Turn cloud backup on or off in Settings.
• Change live sharing in Settings.
• Revoke Location, Motion, and Health permissions in iOS Settings.
• Block or report users from friend and shared-walk safety menus.
• Delete your account in Settings > Account > Delete account.

Deletion and Retention

Deleting your account removes your cloud account data when available and clears local Strollmates data on the device, including profile, walks, coverage, friends, live location, and safety records tied to your account. Live location rows expire quickly and are overwritten during use. Purchase records are managed by Apple and may remain in your App Store purchase history.

Children

Strollmates is not designed for children under 13. Do not use the app if you are not old enough to create an account or share location data under the laws where you live.

Changes

We may update this policy when Strollmates changes. The effective date above shows the current version.
